Day 1: Dindigul to Theni & Base Camp Vehicle Transfer

Morning (9:00 AM) Luxury Group Pickup from Dindigul Start your journey in the comfortable AC 53-seater bus.
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM Dindigul to Theni Drive Smooth highway journey (approx. 74 km).
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM Theni Sightseeing & Rest Break Group stop at Vaigai Dam (Viewpoint) or Veerapandi Gowmariamman Temple.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Group Lunch at Chinnamanur Final quality group lunch stop at the base town of the hill range.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Vehicle Transfer Point (Chinnamanur) CRITICAL LOGISTICS: The 53-seater bus will park securely here. The entire group (up to 53 passengers) and luggage will transfer into multiple pre-booked local 4×4 Jeeps and/or smaller high-clearance Tempo Travellers. This is essential for ascending the hill. Rengha Travels will execute this seamless transfer.
2:00 PM – 4:30 PM Ascent to Megamalai (Split Transport) The journey up the narrow, bumpy 50-60 km ghat road. The smaller vehicles, with their high ground clearance and better maneuverability, ensure the group’s safety and comfort.
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM Check-in at Megamalai Check into the large, pre-arranged group accommodation (likely a resort or multiple adjacent properties) secured by the tour operator.
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM Evening Sightseeing & Group Viewpoint Use the local smaller vehicles to take the group to the Megamalai Viewpoint for group photos and sunset viewing.
7:00 PM onwards Group Leisure & Overnight Stay Relax and enjoy the mountain air. Dinner will be a managed group affair.
📅 Day 2: Megamalai Exploration & Descent to Dindigul
Time Activity Description
Morning (7:00 AM) Core Sightseeing (Small Vehicles) Utilize the smaller vehicles to explore the internal estate roads and visit the Highwavys Dam and Manalar Dam/Lake area.
8:30 AM – 9:30 AM Breakfast & Check-out Group breakfast followed by check-out.
9:30 AM – 12:00 PM Descent to Chinnamanur Drive back down the ghat road via the smaller vehicles to the transfer point.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Transfer back to 53-Seater Bus Reboard the comfortable 53-seater coach at the base camp for the main journey home.
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM Lunch & Theni Area Sightseeing Stop for a final large group lunch near Theni. Optional stop at Cumbum Valley Grape Gardens or Chinna Suruli Falls (check bus parking feasibility).
2:30 PM – 5:00 PM Final Drive to Dindigul Begin the comfortable highway return to Dindigul.
